The Urbana Dance Company creates learning spaces where young people are given the support, trust, and leadership to forge their own creative paths.

Each student is encouraged to trust their own mind and build confidence in their own thinking. As students, artists, and beings, it can be challenging to find a safe space to try new things and express ourselves freely. Some students have experienced humiliation and judgment for their creativity, dancing, movement, and expressing their own piece of mind. We want all artists to feel appreciated and supported for their talents and to dare to try new things!
